With Russia invading Ukraine and attacks happening across the world, innocent lives are being affected as citizens are being forced out of their place they call home. With thousands of lives changing forever, others are in search of how they can help and what resources are available to help Ukrainians through this difficult time.

Rachel Treisman from the National Public Radio (NPR) has compiled a list of organizations that have reached out asking for assistance. NPR reported that these organizations are accepting donations through the links on their websites along with resources on their social media.

The following organizations are websites that you should check out if you are interested in helping those in Ukraine:

     UNICEF

     Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders

     Voices of Children

     Sunflower of Peace

International Committee of the Red Cross

     Save the Children

     UN Refugee Agency

     CARE, and

     International Medical Corps

According to NPR, UNICEF is there to assist in the health, nutrition, HIV prevention, education, safe drinking water, sanitation, and protection for people that have been affected by the attacks.

Médecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders’ goal is to help people access proper health care facilities through volunteers and other organizations in Ukraine.

Voices of Children is founded in Ukraine and acts as a support system for children who have been affected by the conflict. This includes both mental and physical support to the children in need.

Sunflower of Peace has raised money to assemble medical kits for the front line workers in Ukraine. This organization funds the materials and preparation for these first aid supplies.

The International Committee of the Red Cross is founded in Switzerland and is another support organization for those affected by these tragedies.

Save the Children focuses on gathering essential resources for children in Ukraine. This program does not only focus on Ukraine, but other children around the world that need help- Afghanistan children have benefited from this organization.

The UN Refugee Agency provides money to families in Ukraine. This opens up opportunities for families in need.

The CARE organization has raised funds for the Ukraine Crisis Fund where resources are gathered. This includes food, water, hygiene kits, support services, and direct cash assistance for people in Ukraine. This group also has said to focus on women, families, and elderly in particular.

The International Medical Corps has provided services for Ukraine for almost 10 years now and is continuing to attend to the needs of the people affected in the recent conflict.

Lastly, one of the most important ways to help Ukraine is to stay informed. Staying updated, watching, listening, and reading about what is currently happening is a great way to play your part in the whole situation. Even if you feel like Ukraine is far away and there is only so much you can do, the smallest contribution can help the people who need us most.
