January 12, 2023
Hello and Welcome Back,
I’m your host Lucas Parent and I’m joined by Chris Cooke, Caden Watters, and Will Denio,
Let’s get right into it,
The Boston Celtics are victors in four straight after a home win against the New Orleans Pelicans. With a final score of 125-114, the Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown, who scored a season high 41 points. Jayson Tatum added 31 points, and Malcolm Brogdon provided another 20 off the bench.
The Celtics have a back-to-back as they face off against the Nets in Brooklyn tonight. The marquee matchup features two red hot teams vying for the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Celtics aren’t the only Boston team that’s been hot this season. The Bruins are 32-4-4 after a 7-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. David Pastrnak scored three goals in the victory. The Kraken will be the next in line to try to knock off the Bruins, tonight in Boston
The Patriots were sadly eliminated from the playoffs this week after a loss to the Buffalo Bills, so the playoffs will go on without them this season. This weekend features the wild card teams of the NFL in six games over a three day span. The slate kicks off with Seattle visiting San Francisco, and Los Angeles visiting Jacksonville on Saturday.
While the Red Sox signed Rafael Devers in an attempt to help a putrid offseason which saw Xander Bogearts and Nathan Eovaldi leave in free agency, a signing of Corey Kluber may have gone under the radar. The Red Sox agreed to a one-year deal with the former Cy Young winner to bolster a lacking rotation.
The Lincoln boys basketball team defeated Tiverton 72-49 yesterday behind 20 points from back to back Heart of a Lion belt winner, our very own Will Denio. Denio has captured his third belt on the season, way to go will!. Boys JV was also victorious yesterday. Lincoln boys swimming traveled to RIC to face La Salle, and won. Girls were also in action, and swam to a tie against La Salle also.
The four talk about the NFL Playoffs
And
Wrong that the Red Sox will be so highly reliant on Rafael Devers?
