With the spring underway, it’s always a good time to look into buying some new shoes, and the Tatum 3s “Welcome to the Garden” edition are a good shoe to add to your collection. Released on October 10th, 2024, the shoes have a price tag of $125 dollars.
The Tatum 3 offer editions with many fresh color designs, flexible and easy movement, but the “Welcome to the Garden” edition offers an awesome backstory and cool design to go with it.
The Tatum 3s “Welcome to the Garden” offer a life connection to Jayson Tatum’s growth in his basketball career and his relationship to TD Garden, the home of the Celtics. Tatum chose flowers as a way to show his love for his home garden, as well as his growth in his professional career. The Tatum 3s are a must have for Celtics fans, with deep ties to the historic garden the Celtics play at. The shoe features three main colors of green, black, and white with a fabric floral design along the shoe. The symbolism and meaning of the flowers make this version of the shoe stand out among the others.. The shoe also features Tatum’s initials on the tongue of the shoe, as well as the back of the shoe featuring the wording “Welcome to the Garden”.
Since I purchased the Welcome to the Garden Tatum 3s, I have had a very good experience with the shoe overall. My personal favorite aspect about the shoe is the fabric. The floral design and white are a mesh, leaving a lighter feel than some leather Jordans, while still providing a basketball look. The Tatum 3s are very flexible and provide good comfort and fit while playing basketball and other sports.
One of the bigger positives compared to other basketball shoes is the mid size design. It’s easier to move in than a high top, which makes running in these shoes more flexible and less stiff than its predecessors. The rubber along the bottom of the shoe also offers a good feel when moving fast, providing good grip to most playing surfaces.
I would recommend any of the Tatum 3s to any avid basketball player or Celtics fans looking for a comfortable basketball shoe to move around in, as well as any of those who are looking for a high top alternative for the spring that offers better run support. No matter which edition I think the Tatum 3s offer a more relaxed and less heavy feel that could provide more comfort in the warmer months for any Tatum, Jordan, or running shoe lover. The Welcome to the Garden to me offers the deepest Celtics connection with the connection to the historic TD Garden in Boston and Jayson Tatum’s personal interest and love for his garden and flowers.
If the “Welcome to the Garden” edition is not what you’re looking for, there are so many other options such as the upcoming pink “Blender” edition, as well as the “St. Louis”, “Tunnel Walk”, “Blueprint”, “6th Man” to name the few of the 12+ being released over the last year and next couple months.
