For my birthday I received a Lego Wildflower Bouquet set, which is on sale for $50. I was really excited to build it because it seemed simple to put together, and honestly, it was pretty. The colors were super vibrant, and the pieces modeled the real parts of the flowers. I had lots of fun making it and have some satisfaction knowing that I did it myself.
This set took about two and a half hours to build, and was simple. Each piece for each flower is pretty small so that added more time to building them. There are multiples of the same flowers so it was a bit repetitive. Although the pieces were small, the instructions were very detailed and simple.
The building process of the Legos was simple, and didn’t require much thinking. There were also multiples of many pieces which is typical for most Legos sets, but it helped so if I lost a piece I wouldn’t have to worry. This set is pretty simple compared to many other flower sets, such as the Botanical Bouquet set that has more flowers that are also more complicated.
There is one specific flower that was tricky: the Lupin flower, which is the flower with pink and purple gradient surrounding it. It was the most complicated and repetitive one. It also took the longest time to build but did look nice in the end. The Welsh poppy flower, which was the yellow one, was my favorite to build. It was the simplest to make and looked very nice in the end.
The flowers are very lively and make great decor when put into a vase. It looks better in a smaller vase because the flowers are more bunched up together. The instruction booklet also shows pictures of the real flowers that are in the set. Overall I like this set and recommend it to beginners and experienced Lego builders.
