Coming off of an exciting last season in which they made it all the way to the semifinals, the Lincoln boys lacrosse team is confident in their ability to push above and beyond this year.
The team finished with an 11-4 record, ranking second in their division.
The team graduated three important players from last year: Captains Matthew Harmon and Jaden Bourski, and Aidan Duclos. Harmon scored 22 goals for his team last season.
Despite these losses, coach Kyle Bettencourt is confident that his team will persevere and move ahead stronger than ever.
“We have a very experienced team coming back,” Bettencourt said.
Daniel London was a top scorer last year with 58 total goals, and Joseph London will be running this year’s defensive core.
“For this season, (we) have a great opportunity to make it to the state championship,” Bettencourt said.
Senior goalkeeper Keian Fox is hopeful the team can work together and reach the championship.
“I would like to see us win this year,” he said.”
The Lions start their season on March 30 at Providence Country Day.
