Eliza Gobin, Lion’s Roar Staff
Eliza Madison Gobin (she/her) is a junior in the Journalism & Media Communications CTE and a copy editor for the Lion’s Roar. Her awards include first place in Write Rhode Island’s 2024 Write Where You Are contest and honorable mentions from Courageous RI’s Youth Media Contest and the New England Scholastic Press Association for her book review of Flamboyants: The Queer Harlem Renaissance I Wish I’d Known by George M. Johnson. She is working on her debut picture book, and she runs the Roaring Readers Club at Lincoln High School. Her book reviews can also be found in An Unlikely Story’s newsletter.
